What are GLEs?
Louisiana's Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs) identify what all students should know or be able to do by the end of each grade from prekindergarten through grade 12 in math, English, science and social studies.

CCSS - The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) define the knowledge and skills students should have within their K-12 education careers so that they will graduate high school able to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing academic college courses and in workforce training programs.

Comprehensive Curriculum - The Louisiana Transitional Comprehensive Curriculum is designed to assist with the transition from using GLEs to full implementation of the CCSS in English language arts and mathematics beginning the school year 2014-15.

Assessment Guides (iLEAP, LEAP,  GEE, EOC) - provides an overview of Louisiana assessments

North Carolina Common Core Support Tools (Unpacking Standards) - This site is an instructional ToolKit designed to help pattern both instruction and assessments to the CCSS in both mathematics and ELA. CCSS objectives are described in terms of "What students should know and be able to do"

Literacy Strategies - a detailed description and examples of the 18 literacy strategies used across all content areas 

Released Test Items - presents student work in four subject areas, which was completed as part of a LEAP 21 assessment

Mathematics Assessment Project - Formative and summative mathematics assessment tools that are designed to support and implement the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

Common Core State Standards Sample Items - The Department of Education has developed sample test questions for grades 3 through 11 that measure knowledge and skills identified in the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts (ELA) and mathematics. These item sets contain various types of reading passages and a mixture of technology‚Äźenhanced items based on the CCSS that can help prepare students for College and Career Readiness.

Illustrative Mathematics -The Illustrative Mathematics website provides examples of the range and types of mathematical work that teachers and students in grades K - 12 will need for implementation of the Common Core State Standards.

PARCC - Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) has shared items and task prototypes is to provide information and to support educators as they transition to the CCSS and the PARCC assessments. Educators, students and parents may also find the sample items and tasks to be a useful resource for learning more about the CCSS and how state assessments may appear in the future.
