Wossman High School Ornament

Every year one-of-a-kind ornaments are made by ordinary Americans, representing every U.S. state, territory and the District of Columbia. These artists give their time and talents to design and create ornaments that symbolize the history, heritage and culture of their homelands. The America Celebrates display, which surrounds the National Christmas Tree, is free and open to visitors throughout the month.

The ornament from Louisiana was designed by students at Wossman High School.  They based the ornament on Louisiana being very unique and rich in culture. The ornament represents a wide spectrum of what our state is all about ranging from education to our world famous cuisines. In addition, it is a representation of what we as Louisianians hold dear to our hearts and that is family and the enjoyment of the Holiday Season.
