Adjacent to the learning center
is an arboretum with nearly 150 Louisiana native, woody plants
which are labeled with common and scientific names.

The Conservation Learning Center
Discovery Room features various learning
stations with themes that can be changed seasonally and/or coordinated
with school curricula. The room can also be set up with tables
and chairs for use of microscopes, etc.
In addition, this facility is
designed to house large, aquaria exhibits, with native reptiles,
amphibians and fishes.
