All-Girls' Math Club

The all Girls' Math club meets each Tuesday after school until 4:00 p.m. We like to start the afternoon with snacks and work the problem of the day.  Our purpose is to encourage women to explore mathematical concepts and have fun doing this.

 Some of the activities we have participated in have been:

• Trips - Sci-Port in Shreveport and the museums in Jackson
• Demonstrating bubble gum experiments at elementary schools
• Mad Hatter parties creating geometric hats
• Preparing and maintaining a math school showcasse
• Plans underway to tutor mathematics at the Junior and Elementary schools
