Welcome to Lee Junior High School!

A part of the Monroe City School System, Lee Junior High is a school of excellence where young adults can continue their journey to personal and academic success.  Directing our students to succeed both in school and in life, our full academic program as well as our sports and extracurricular activities offer a wide variety of choices for a 21st century school population.

On behalf of the administration, faculty, parents, and students, we welcome you to visit our school and our website to see why Lee Junior High is a great place for your child!

    Current Announcements

Yearbooks For Sale:  The 2009-2010 Golden Quill is on sale for $25.00.  Students will produce the yearbook this year with a few changes in store:  All Color, More Pages, Spring Delivery!  Orders will be taken on Mondays and Fridays during lunch through December.  Parents are welcomed to stop by the office to purchase a yearbook at any time.  We also offer a convenient payment plan--$10.00 down, $5.00 per month for December, January, and February.  If you're interested in advertising in the yearbook, talk to Whitney Martin at 323-1143.

Athletic Department Needs You!  The fall weather took its toll on our athletic budget since football gate and concession revenues help fund other less lucrative sports.  We appreciate any donations to our athletic department coffers to further support our student athletes in all sports.  Please see Allen Wise, athletic director, to help.

Make a Difference Day Lee Style:  Lee journalism students will host a Fall Carnival for residents of Ouachita Grand Plaza on Thursday, October 29 at Ouachita Grand Plaza.  Students have created carnival games and provided prizes for the elderly residents.  Thanks to Brian Barefoot, John Coker, Margaret Descant, Michael Green, Thomas Green, Cole Hamilton, Baylee Hanson, William Head, Caleb Luffey, Luke Nolan, Cade Prewitt, Rosie Tyler, and Nicholas Whitaker for this community service.

Accelerated Reader Puts Lee on the Map!  Visitors from Denver, Colorado and New York City, New York toured Lee's classes and library for ideas to duplicate our AR/Accelerated Math success.  In addition, Dr. Darrell Cluck's eighth grade gifted class was featured in Renaissance Learning's (the company that created AR/AM) fall report--the only junior high school spotlighted!

October Students of the Month:  7th grader Daezhane Fields and 8th grader Allison Wyles--Congratulations!
