About Us

Welcome to Lexington Elementary School! 

 Lexington is a school of excellent academic performance.  Students at Lexington are encouraged to excel in all areas.    Our goal is for  each student  to become a productive citizen.  For the past several years, Lexington has been recognized as a Renaissance Master School and is a Title I School of Distinction.  As of August 31, 2011, our school has 740 students enrolled.  Lexington services grades Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  We offer Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Spanish to our Sixth grade students.   We are one of the state's highest performing elementary schools and Monroe City Schools highest performing  school with an SPS of 131.8. We are also very proud of a program, Art in the Classrooms, which has been implemented by parent volunteers.
