    Principal's Message

Welcome! My goal at Lincoln Elementary School is to provide educational opportunities for all students, with the most highly qualified professional faculty and staff. We strive to insure that all children have the opportunity to reach high standards of success. Lincoln Elementary School has created a learning environment that encourages active learning, positive social interactions, and self-motivation, with the utmost emphasis on a happy, safe, and nurturing atmosphere. We are a Reading First school. Our intention is to ensure that all of our students become fluent readers.

As parents and guardians, you are the first and most important educator in your child's life. I invite each of you to become involved in your child's education by volunteering in the classroom, joining the PTO, and participating in events and activities that occur throughout the school year. The home-school partnership is strengthened by your involvement and we look forward to working with you.

All parents can assist in the education of your child by setting aside a few minutes each day to:

Listen when your child describes school day activities
Ask questions about the school day
    Read to your child
Listen to your child read to you
    Help out with homework
    Limit TV time
Make sure your child has consistent bedtime hours

Lincoln Elementary School is dedicated to making students into lifelong learners, who are educated, love learning and retain the skills to access learning in years to come.

I welcome you to come and visit the school. Our faculty has cleared a space on the main hallway as our "Parent's Corner." We invite you to come and pick up informational materials. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Please call or email me at anytime. My e-mail address is janet.davis@mcschools.net.

"Working Together, we can and shall make a positive difference in the life of your child."
