    After Hours Programs

Monroe City Schools has many after school programs available to students. Since the offerings differ from school to school, specific information on the programs should be obtained from each school office.

Expanded programs are offered at the junior high/middle schools and high schools through the 21st Century Learning Learning Center and GearUP projects. Both projects provide tutoring in all core subjects (math, English, science, and social studies) at each school site. Twenty-first Century programs can also be found at Sallie Humble and Lincoln Elementary Schools.

Enrichment activities such as music, art, cooking, aerobics, and P.E. are offered depending on the school location. Activities are selected by grant and school personnel that meet the needs of students.

Monroe City Schools partners with the Ouachita Parish Library to offer free online tutoring for all students. Students can log-on to the website and receive content and grade level specific homework help. The access code for the Live Homework Help program can be obtained from school librarians.
