Homecoming
Memories
Football Friday
night --- what can you say except "Bring it on!!!"
Queen Sondreia Gee and her court reigned over homecoming festivities
at Carroll, and the C-Dogs gave them the fitting gift to end
a week full of events. Down 8 to 24 at halftime, the Bulldogs
came out and "shook back" to earn their first win of
the season and create happy memories for returning alumni and
fans alike. A day that featured a pep rally, block party, parade,
and visit by the championship team of 1953 ended with a 32-24
victory over the Franklin Parish Patriots.
In a rebuilding
season, the Bulldogs have played a large number of true freshmen,
experienced debilitating injuries, and suffered growing pains
as a small number of veterans and a large number of "newbies"
transitioned to a new coaching staff and an understanding of
each other. The young men need support as they face their last
district opponents (Bastrop) next Friday night at the Dog Pound.
Make your
plans to be in attendance --- the players and coaches need your
support.
