This year's group of "Kickin' Dogs" have a tough district in which to play. Several of the teams in our district have strong soccer programs, and many of last year's experienced players are gone because of graduation. As the season approached, passers-by saw potential players running (jogging --- trotting --- walking) around the track to get in shape for the very active, physically exhausting sport which opened its season in December and ends in January (Notice that these are NOT warm, sunny months for playing outside!!!). Coach Gamble has worked hard with these young people to mold them into a team. Right now, they are 1-1 on the season, having lost to West Ouachita and then winning in overtime at Wossman. Make plans to play or observe during the upcoming season. You'll be impressed by the teamwork, athleticism, and endurance of these young men and women. Keep up the hard work, and watch out for flying soccer balls!!! |
