 Ms. Addie Hampton-Morehouse, Principal

"In 1998, Madison James Foster Elementary, a beautiful new K-6th grade school was created. The 450 students who enrolled in the school has previously attended Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School before it  was changed to a middle school. We experienced many changes during our first year but our focus, our goal, remained unchanged.  Our belief, that all children can and will learn, remained thefoundation for our academic program.  We pursued innovative and Research Based programs to enhance our curriculum and increase student achievement.  Because learning is a continuous life long process, we are constantly working to inspire our students to be life long learners, as well as kind, caring and considerate young people.   We challenge our students to ask the question, "How can I contribute to making this world a better place in which to live?"...and then doing positive things to make our world a better place.  We extend an open door policy to our parents, our Partners in Education, and the entire Learning Community, because without your support, our success will not be as effective. "
