The Mission of The Neville Student
Assistance Team is to endeavor to promote and maintain the emotional,
mental, and physical well-being of the Neville student body, administration
and staff, faculty, the city of Monroe, and the community at large.
Above all, we send out a NO USE message regarding the use of all controlled
substances and a cautionary message regarding the use over-the-counter substances.
SAT/SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) are student centered groups,
primarily dedicated to the education and prevention of substance abuse.
The SADD mission coincides with that of the SAT, which
is to promote safe and sober lifestyles by educating youth. It empowers them
to take an active role in promoting traffic safety, positive decision making,
prevention if underage drinking, and the use of illegal substances. This
mission corresponds with the school's mission, which is to encourage students
to achieve excellence and become productive citizens. A serious effort is
made to enable students to choose healthy, productive occupations.
