Activity 5:  Literary Devices Workshop (GLEs:  06, 19b, 25)

CC:  The teacher will present a mini-lesson on figurative language used by poets. Students will hear examples of similes, metaphors, personification, and hyperbole in poetry and will be given practice in identifying each within the context of poems read aloud.

Use PowerPoint to create the mini-lesson on figurative language.
