Unit 1: Data, Graphs, and Numbers Activity 7: Number Grid Puzzles (GLEs: 2, 43)
CC: Have students study the patterns of numbers by creating a number chart of large numbers (for instance, from 10,000 to 11,000). Place landmark numbers on the chart and hang the chart in a center. Have number cards (with a specific number on each card) available for a student to draw. Using the number landmarks along with place value strategies, have them locate the placement of that number and write the number on the chart. Word Document - Activity 7 Number Chart and Cards
