Unit 6:  Geometry and Measurement

Activity 1:  Test Those Measurements  (GLEs:  14, 15, 20, 25)

CC:  Brainstorm measurements that are accepted standards:  8 1/2 x 11-inch paper, 3 x 5 cards,
3 1/2 -inch floppy disk, etc.  Ask students to check those measurements and record the results. Using rulers marked in 1/4  inch, have students record their measurements to the nearest 1/4 inch. Repeat the measurement activities using a ruler marked in mm.

Use MS Word to create a worksheet for the activity.
