Activity 11:  Metric Measurements (GLEs:  24, 27)

 

 

CC:  Have students devise measurement questions like the following, research the answers, and provide metric measurements in at least two different units (e.g., cm and m, or g and kg). Example:  How tall is the Eiffel Tower? How long does an anaconda grow? How much does a baby rhinoceros weigh? Display the results of the activity with pictures and measurements in a classroom measurement chart, from shortest to longest, or lightest to heaviest.

 

Use MS Word to create examples of the research activity.  Students can use World Book Online Kids database for research.
