Activity 6:  The Shape of Pizza (GLEs: 22, 40)

CC: Have students work in groups using grid paper to design the best shaped pizza. The pizza must have an area of 36 square inches. Have them draw as many different shaped pizzas as possible with this area and to record the perimeter of each pizza so a box can be designed to hold the pizza.  As a group, have them decide on which shape would appeal most to the customer.

Use MS Word to create an activity sheet.
