Unit 7: Nations and Democracy

Activity 1: Countries and Governments (GLEs: 29, 30)

CC:  Have them create a chart listing the characteristics identified in the readings and compare that list to the characteristics found in the written material. Discuss the content of both lists and create a master list. Type these in a table format on the computer with one characteristic in each cell of the table.

Use MS Word to create the chart.

CC:  Using reference books and websites the teacher should develop a presentation for students on the United Nations. This could either be in the form of PowerPoint or transparencies for the overhead.
