CC:   Then students will use the following prompt:

Self-Portrait

                        My _____ is like _______________________________________.

                        My ________ are like ___________________________________.

                        My ____________ are __________________________________.

Students will practice writing personification examples by imagining that they are an object

in the classroom (e.g., book, pencil, sharpener, desk, computer). Students will then write a logically organized descriptive paragraph, using first-person point of view and sensory images focusing on what they see, hear, smell, and feel from the object’s viewpoint.

Use MS Word to create a worksheet for the writing prompt and instructions for the descriptive paragraph.

                          "Self-Portrait"
