CC : A school weather station should be used to compare the weather data collected onsite (Websites that provide directions for constructing weather instruments are provided in the resource list found at the end of this unit.) with daily predictions for a two-week period and determine the accuracy of the predictions. Be sure that students identify the problems and questions that they should consider in their investigation. Using an accepted data set from the school station or another source, the average high and low daily temperature, precipitation amount, air pressure, dew point, and humidity reading should be determined for the two-week period. Class values should be compared with those of the other classes in the same school or another school in the same system. Students should study the collected data and generate questions that will identify relationships between various weather components such as; air pressure and temperature, humidity and air pressure, dew point and temperature.
