The Professional Development Task Team was formed in the spring of 2011 and given the responsibility of developing and implementing a District Plan for Professional Learning. The purpose of the plan is to create an accountable system of professional learning that moves the district toward a culture of excellence and high expectations resulting in increased student achievement. The plan is predicated upon the definition and standards set forth by Learning Forward which outline the types of professional learning opportunities that may lead to more effective teaching and leadership.
While working on the plan, the team realized a need for a Professional Learning Catalog. The catalog lists learning opportunities for personnel provided by the district and other providers. These opportunities relate to district goals and learning priorities and may be used by personnel to meet professional growth targets.
Both the District Plan for Professional Learning and the Professional Learning Catalog will be reviewed and revised annually by the Professional Development Task Team.
CourseWhere is the district's online registration and evaluation system. All professional learning opportunities are placed in the system so that CLUs may be assigned. You may browse entries by category, date, or location.
