    Vision Statement

    The vision of Wossman High School is that with the support and participation of all stakeholders, our graduates will become productive citizens in the world through the educational and social opportunities provided at our school.

    Mission Statement

    We are W.I.L.D.C.A.T.S. Proud:  Working to Improve Learning and Discipline with Curriculums, Assessments, and Teaching Strategies that are evidence-based.

    Goal:  To maintain high standards in academics, discipline, sports, and extra-curricular activities in order to improve the overall performance, culture and climate of Wossman High School.

    Objective 1:  Establish a functioning School Leadership Team

    Objective 2:  Prepare for 2010 SACS Accreditation

    Objective 3:  Plan training activities for staff development according to needs

    Objective 4:  Conduct classroom observations (formal and informal) 50% of instructional time throughout each school day

    Objective 5:  Increase offerings of honors and advanced courses to students who meet academic qualifications

    Objective 6:  Provide services (tutoring, mentoring, parenting, etc.) to enhance the academic, social, and emotional functioning of students

    Objective 7:  Implement recommended Dropout Prevention Strategies, as required by Act 742

    Objective 8:  Increase the number of regular education juniors and seniors taking the ACT

    Objective 9:  Reorganize book rooms and textbook/materials check out system

    Objective 10:  Maintain open communication with MCS District Secondary Supervisor, Director of Instructional Support Services, and Superintendent regarding issues related to overall school functioning
