MCS Celebrates Our School Counselors

February 1-5 Marks National School Counseling Week

Monroe City Schools extends gratitude to the thirteen professionals who serve as school counselors.  Committed to this year's theme,  All in for All Students, each of these educators strives to improve the lives of students through their daily work.  The challenging task to nurture students' individuality and social and emotional well-being while ensuring successful completion of the rigorous demands of education in the twenty-first century might deter some.  However, these school counselors embrace each day at each campus.  As one of our high school counselors recently shared, "I just had one of those moments when I made a difference with a student and his mom...  I talked son and mom through the tears, and we have plotted a NEW PATH!!!" Plotting paths and seeing futures is what it takes to be All in for All Students!
